The severe cold between Christmas in America has disrupted people's lives.
The biggest impact of snowfall is visible in Buffalo city of New York, where rescue operations are also facing problems.
Roads are covered with snow and more than 15,000 flights have been canceled across the country.
So far 60 lives have been lost in the country due to cold, in which a maximum of 27 deaths has been recorded in New York.
Dead bodies are being found inside the vehicles
Authorities said bodies were being found inside snow-covered vehicles in Buffalo. Officials are trying to rescue people by conducting a search operation in vehicles.
1.25 meters of snow has accumulated at Buffalo Airport, so it is closed.
New York Governor Cathy Hochul said, "This will go down in history as the 'Hurricane of 2022' responsible for 48 deaths in the country."
President Joe Biden also talked to Hochul to know the situation.
I spoke with @GovKathyHochul to get an update on the extreme winter weather hitting New York. We stand ready to make sure they have the resources they need to get through this.
